Inception

Inception (2010)

Rating: PG-13

Director: Christopher Nolan

I’m doing a review for Inception because it is my favorite movie! Christopher Nolan in my opinion is a modern genius. He wrote the screenplay for this movie and directed it, it is almost too hard to describe how much credit he deserves for this film.

The movie takes place in the future where there is the technology to enter into other people’s dreams. Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a man who uses this dream technology to do various things such as getting information from people, crimes, and making people act certain ways. Cobb has been banned from entering the U.S.A and he wants to find a way back in. With the recent job opportunity from a rich and influential business man, Cobb has a chance to get back to the U.S.A. The only problem is that the job involves Cobb planting an idea into a man’s head, a feat considered virtually impossible. But Cobb says that he has done it before… thus begins our story.

This movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, and he is an excellent actor in this movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in this movie as well, and he is brilliant. So are Tom Hardy and Ellen Page. The cast is wonderful and their acting was spectacular.

The cinematography in Inception was amazing and flawless. The special effects were great and so were the practical effects. My personal favorite scene of the movie was when Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) was fighting a man in the hallway, and the gravity of the hallway kept shifting causing an intense battle scene.

Overall my favorite aspects of the movie were the soundtrack and the directing, which in my opinion were flawless. My overall score for this movie is:

A+
